The Imo State Police Command has launched a manhunt for the fleeing killers of two police officers attached to the Ebonyi State House of Assembly Majority Leader.
Gunmen on Sunday ambushed and killed two policemen attached to the Ebonyi State Majority Leader, Kingsley Ikoro at the Okigwe in Imo State.
The slain police officers were stationed at that location following a mechanical failure of one of the vehicles carrying the majority leader and his team.
As the other vehicles proceeded with their journey, the two police officers remained behind, only to be subsequently ambushed and killed.
However, the Imo State Commissioner of Police , Aboki Danjuma, said the command has launched a manhunt for the killers of the police officers.
According to the command’s spokesperson, Henry Okoye, on Monday warned that there is no hiding place for the killers of the officers.
