Presidency Caught In Another Lie, Buhari Not First African Leader To Be Hosted By Trump

In what seems to a tradition of faux pax and lack of due diligence, the Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, has given life to a tweet that Buhari holds the distinction of becoming the first African president to meet President Donald Trump of the United States at the White House.

Tweeting ‏@yunusxonline, Yunus Jnr/PMB, had tweeted: “Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari will on April 30 hold the distinction of becoming the first African president to meet US President Donald J. Trump at the White House in Washington.”

The tweet was promptly retweeted by @BashirAhmaad.

However, 1000 Forms Of Fear on the twitter handle @randzejude, replied: let me drop this here, showing that Egypt’s President Abdel el-Sisi is the first African leader to have been received by Trump at the White House.

Kellz @purekellz added salt to injury by tweeting: “And where is the Egyptian President from? Asia I suppose. Coming on the heels of the recently released Buhari’s human rights atrocities, I bet it will be better for him not to go because Trump will rubbish him.”
