Benue Flood: Osinbajo Arrives Makurdi, Visits Flood Victims

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on Wednesday, arrived Benue State to commiserate with victims of floods that recently hit the state.

He was accompanied by the Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola and the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Audu Ogbeh.

Recall that the heavy rains in the state capital had left many homeless. The Benue State Emergency Management Agency set up a camp for displaced persons at the International Market in Makurdi.

The Vice President, who was on the visit on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari, was received at the Markudi Airport by the state governor, Samuel Ortom, and other top government officials.

He assured that the Federal Government would support the state in providing more relief materials for the flood victims.
