CBN’s Spokesperson, Isaac Okorafor Buries Mother Aug 11

The Acting Director, Corporate Communications at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Isaac Okorafor, will on August 11, bury his late mother, Ezinne Cecelia Orieji Okorafor.

Ezinne Okorafor’s funeral mass will hold at St. Mulumba’s Catholic Church, in Umuchiakuma, Ihechiowa, Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State.

Isaacs’s mother, who passed away aged 85, will be laid to rest at the Okorafor family compound at Umuchiakuma, Ihechiowa area of the state.

The Okorafor family described the deceased as “a philanthropist and a community leader” who has “contributed immensely to the development and growth of her community and its people, particularly after the Nigerian Civil war.”

Ezinne Okorafor was known to be a “successful trader whose vocation took her across several borders beyond the shores of the Eastern Nigeria. Ezinne Okorafor was more reputed for her strong belief in God, living the life of a devout Catholic, who participated actively in the Catholic Women Organisation (CWO), Umuahia Diocese, and inspired thousands of women to serve God and honour their husbands. ”

She is was fondly described as a “Peace Builder, Ochiri Ozua, Ozuu Afia, Ezinne Gburugburu, Nne Oma Deanary, Okpe Udo”

Ezinne Okorafor is survived by children, grand-children and great-grand-children, among whom is the CBN Acting Director, Corporate Communications, Mr. Isaac Okorafor.
