TRAGEDY! Ex-Dep Speaker’s Sisters, Husbands, Four Kids Perish In Road Accident

Tragedy has struck the family of a former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Babangida Nguroje, following the death of his two sisters, their husbands and four kids.

Nguroje’s sisters – Zainab and Hajiya Hadiza – perished in a road accident alongside their husbands and four kids.

Condoling with the family in a statement on Sunday, President Muhammadu Buhari described the incident as “painful”.

Buhari’s senior media assistant, Garba Shehu, quoted the president as saying: “I am lost for words to describe such multiple deaths in a single car accident in which family members perished.”

“I received the news of this tragedy with deep shock and grief, and wish to express my heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with you at this trying and painful moment.”

The President prayed to Allah to forgive the deceased’s souls and comfort their loved ones over the unfortunate incident.

Nguroje had represented Sardauna/Gashaka/Kurumi Federal Constituency of Taraba State in the House of Reps. He is the Chairman of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC).
