VIDEO: What Kind Of Stupid Question Is That? Fani-kayode Threatens To Report Journalist To Publisher

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has been seen in a viral social media video going off on a journalist for suggesting that he takes money from political godfathers.

Fani-Kayode railed at the journalist from a leading Abuja-based newspaper at a recent press conference.

It was not clear how the journalist presented his question to Fani-Kayode, but the ex-minister could be heard asking the reporter angrily: “What type of stupid question is that? Bankrolling who? Do you know who you are talking to? I will not take any more questions from this man. What type of insulting question is that?”

Fani-Kayode said being a lawyer by profession and former minister, he was comfortable and would not need money from political godfathers “for anything”.

He further said to the reporter: “I could see from your face before you got here how stupid you are. Don’t ever talk to me like that. You have a very small mind and don’t judge me by your own standards.

“I have been in politics since 1990 and I am not one of those politicians you think would just come… I’ve been locked up how many times by this government, [I have] suffered. I have been prosecuted unlike most politicians you follow for brown envelopes. I spend, I don’t take [money], and I’m not a poor man and would never be.”

The former minister subsequently left the press conference angrily while some of the journalists at the meeting could be heard apologising on behalf of their colleague.

The 59-year-old politician is a member of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and had served as special assistant on public affairs to former president Olusegun Obasanjo.
