We’re Tackling Bandits On Ground And From Air – Defence Headquarters

The Nigerian Military has assured states in the North West and North Central that it was committed to rooting out bandits has put in place proactive measures to deal the worries in public domain that bandits in the North through its ground and air operations, adding there was no escape from the operations being conducted by the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies.

A statement issued on Thursday by
Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, John Enenche, said operations of the military were in collaboration with the ongoing operations in the North West to tackle interstate movement of armed bandits and other criminals within the zone and North Central zones.

The statement reads “In addition, air assets have been deployed to cover Kaduna, Niger, Nasarawa and Kogi states.

“I am to affirm that, the Armed Forces of Nigeria is totally committed to tackling all the security challenges in the country until normalcy is restored. Hence, the public is requested to continue to provide credible information to the Nigerian Military,” it concluded.
