Abuja Gets 500- Bed Isolation Centre
The Federal Capital Territory Administration has unveiled a five hundred bed capacity isolation and treatment centre in Idu district of the territory.
The centre was commissioned by the FCTA minister, Musa Bello and put together by the FCT Ministerial Expert Advisory Committee on COVID19 chaired by former minister of the FCT, Dr. Aliyu Modibbo Umar.

The committee also provided one 350KVA generator each at the isolation center of the UniAbuja Teaching Hospital in Gwagwalada and Karu Gen. Hospital, in addition to the donation of palliatives, PPEs and other ancillary equipment.

appealed to residents of Abuja to take responsibility by following all laid down protocols to stop community transmission of the coronavirus.
He also stated that the FCTA is looking for more centres to accommodate people in case the condition gets out of hands, adding that the isolation centres so far provided could accommodate about one thousand patients.
