Although no casualty was recorded in the fire outbreak, which started late midnight Tuesday in Portharcourt, residents of the area said they lost valuables.

Mr. Ifeanyi Nnachi, a native of Afikpo in Ebonyi State, said he lost all his belongings to the fire.

“It was my wife that called me that our building was on fire and she was not certain where it emanated from. Unknowing to her it was our apartment that it started from,” he narrated.
