Emeka Beke was announced the Amaechi’s factional Chairman- elect during the election which witnessed the absence of the Senator Magnus Abe faction of the party in Port Harcourt.

Delivering the gifts, he called for intra-party cohesion. “There is need for intra-party cohesion behind the leadership of our chairman, Chief Emeka Beke.

“By that, our boats as a party will be sailing in one direction as led by our leader, Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.”

Recall on 19th October, 2021, the camp loyal to the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, had during their congress in Port Harcourt, elected Emeka Bekee as the party chairman.

On the other hand, the Abe faction had also appointed its state officials, with Golden Chioma announced as the party chairman.

The rift between both factions has deepen as both group claim supremacy over the other.

THE WHISTLER gathered through an APC bigwig who pleaded anonymity that Amaechi’s faction is projecting Cole again for the forthcoming gubernatorial elections in 2023.

He however alleged that the sharing of the cows and other gifts items is due to the push for him to represent the party as flag bearer come 2023.
