Atiku Asks Voters To Elect PDP On Saturday

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the just concluded presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, has urged Nigerians to vote the PDP “from top to bottom” on Saturday.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC had fixed Saturday, March 9th for the governorship and House of Assembly elections.

Atiku, who lost the presidential election to President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has vowed to challenge his defeat in court.

He claims that results collated by his party showed he won the election.

In a broadcast message on his social media page, Twitter, Atiku urged Nigerians to come out “in even large numbers to freely and peacefully vote” for PDP candidates in the election.

The Waziri of Adamawa also thanked Nigerians for exercising their civil responsibility by massively voting for him during the presidential election.

He said, “I express my profound gratitude for the massive votes you gave my party – the PDP, during the Presidential and National elections.

“As we move to the governorship and state elections on March 9, I urge you to come out in larger numbers to peacefully vote for PDP, from top to bottom.”
