Indications have emerged that the Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM), a party with close ties to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has sacked its national working committee.

The NWC led by the national chairman, Bashir Yusuf, and all other officers were removed from office at a meeting of the National Executive Committee of the party which held in Abuja on Thursday.

We’ve been trying to register it since 1994 but the military government of that time of that day stood in the way,” Mr. Yusuf said.

The PDM was registered by the INEC in 2013 though it claimed that it had been seeking for registration since 1994.
