BREAKING: Nigeria Confirms Third Coronavirus Case In Lagos

Nigeria has confirmed the third case of Coronavirus in Lagos.

The case is a 30-year-old Nigerian woman who travelled from the UK to Lagos through British Airways on the 13th of March 2020.

According to the Lagos State Commissioner of Health, Akin Abayomi, the new case is independent of the index case and is presently in isolation and receiving care at Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba.

This development comes days after the state government confirmed that the country’s second case had tested negative to the virus.

Abayomi, however, said contact tracing of all passengers and all those who may have come in contact with the latest case has commenced.

He also advised passengers on the same flight with the UK-returnee to stay at home and self-isolate themselves for 14 days.
