BREAKING: Nigeria’s Second Republic President Shehu Shagari Is Dead
Nigeria’s first executive president, Shehu Shagari is dead.
He died after a brief illness at the National hospital in Abuja.

Announcing his death, his grandson, Bello Shagari said he passed on Friday.

“I regret announcing the death of my grandfather, H.E Alhaji Shehu Shagari, who died right now after brief illness at the National hospital, Abuja,” he tweeted.
Shagari was president in the second republic, from 1979 to 1983.
He was overthrown in a coup by Muhammadu Buhari
