BREAKING: Our People Have Asked Us To Leave APC – Kwara Gov

Governor Abdulfatha Ahmed on Thursday said the people of Kwara state has asked him and others to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to the governor, “our future is no longer certain in the APC.”

There have been speculations that the governor will be decamping to the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state had opened the floodgate of governors expected to leave the APC when he decamped on Wednesday.

Expected to follow is the Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal.

Meanwhile, the development follows the massive defection that hit the APC on Tuesday after over 48 lawmakers in both the upper and lower legislative chambers of the National Assembly announced their exit from the ruling party on the floor of the Nigerian Senate.
