‘Buhari Playing With Fire’ Fani-Kayode Reacts To Impeachment Notice On Ortom

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reacted to the impeachment notice, served on the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom by some members of the state’s House of Assembly.

Recall that this morning, eight members of the House, led by suspended speaker and member Terkimbi ikyange, served the governor a notice of impeachment.

The Governor has however stated that he remains the chief Executive of the state as the lawmakers lacked the constitutional powers to sack him.

In reaction, Fani Kayode accused President Muhammadu Buhari of sponsoring the move, adding that it was his ‘latest show of shame.”

According to the former minister, Buhari is playing with fire and he is on his way out.

He tweeted, “Buhari’s latest show of shame in Benue is condemnable. Attempting to impeach Gov. Ortom by brute force and gestapo tactics is disgraceful.

“Using a tiny handful of crooked lawmakers and hundreds of policemen will lead to anarchy. Buhari is playing with fire and he is on his way out.”
