President Muhammadu Buhari will today travel to London for 10 days, to seek medical attention over a lingering ear infection crisis.

This is coming barely few days after his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, during a Channels Television programme, said that the President was hale and hearty.

It was also widely speculated that the president aborted his scheduled trip to Ogoni land for the flag off of the clean-up exercise over alleged health issues and security threats.

However, Adesina in a statement issued last night, said the President will see an Ear, Nose and Throat (E.N.T) specialist to treat a persistent ear infection.

The statement read: “President Muhammadu Buhari will take ten days off and travel to London on Monday, June 6, 2016, to rest.

“During the holiday, he will see an E.N.T Specialist for a persistent ear infection.

“The President was examined by his Personal Physician and an E.N.T Specialist in Abuja, and was treated.

“Both Nigerian doctors recommended further evaluation purely as a precaution.”
