China Claims U.S. Engaging In Cold War With Beijing
The Chinese Government, on Thursday, maintained that the allegations levelled against Beijing by the United States Government were nothing short of “Cold War”.
This is coming days after the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, during the Republican National Convention, stated that China would be held accountable for allowing the Coronavirus to devastate the world, including America.

Pompeo also stressed that China was no longer exploiting the US economic market.
But China’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Lijian Zhao, in a press briefing, stressed the US is tactically attempting to suppress it.
He claimed that the US was doing that through lies, propaganda, threats and economic sanctions.
However, Zhao maintained that the Chinese people would not be deceived.

“Every time Pompeo opens his mouth, he is telling lies, spreading disinformation and preaching Cold War mentality.
“Every time Pompeo opens his mouth, he makes the Chinese people love their motherland more,” he stated.
Also, he took a swipe at US government, adding that it should focus on its racism issues.
“After George Floyd, the case of Jacob Blake has again caught wide attention.
“We hope the US can heed the call for equality and justice and international concerns over its human rights conditions, take the severe racial discrimination issue seriously and address it properly,” he said.
