Commotion In House Of Reps Over Bill To Alter Impunity Clause

There is an ongoing commotion at the House of Representatives, as some members of the house are divided over an impunity clause bill seeking to alter session 308 of the 1999 constitution.

The minority leader of the house, hon Leo Ogor is sponsoring the motion, while majority leader Femi Gbajabiamila is opposing the motion.

The immunity clause in the constitution provides the president, vice president, governors and their deputies with protection from prosecution from offences they commit while in office.
