COVID-19: 1,354 New Cases In One Day? Nigeria Hit By Aggressive Second Wave Of Pandemic

Nigeria has recorded it’s highest daily tally with 1,345 new cases in 20 states plus the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Tuesday.

This development comes on the heels of the second wave of COVID-19 ravaging lives across the nation.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) noted that 712 persons also got infected in Lagos.

The agency said the country recorded one death and 697 recoveries on Tuesday.

These figures showed that Nigeria has a total of 92,705 new cases, 76,396 recoveries and 1,319 deaths since the outbreak of virus in 2020.
