Covid-19: NCDC Confirms 354 New Cases As Infections Exceed 45,000

Nigeria Centre for Disease and Control (NCDC), has confirmed 354 new cases of the coronavirus pandemic, with total number of infections rising to 45,244 in the country.

The NCDC made this known on its official twitter handle late on Thursday.

It added that 3 deaths were recorded in the country.

According to the NCDC, till date, 45,244 cases have been confirmed, while 32,430 cases have been discharged, with 930 deaths recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Data released by the centre showed that the latest COVID-19 infections were reported in 17 states with FCT having the highest number of infected people (78).

A breakdown of the data provided by the NCDC showed that Lagos recorded 76 cases, while Kaduna had 23 new cases.

Others are Ebonyi-19, Oyo-18, Nasarawa-17, Rivers-17, Delta-16, Kwara-15, Akwa Ibom-13,Edo-12, Ogun-12, Plateau-11, Kano-9, Bauchi-6, Borno-6 and Ekiti-6.
