Covid-19: Three Suspected Cases Of Virus In Lagos – Health Commissioner

Lagos State Health Commission, has reported three new suspected cases of coronavirus infection in the state, adding that the three patients under examination were France, England and China nationals.

Health Commissioner, Akin Bayomi said made this known at a press briefing on Thursday.

Abayomi said that the patients were isolated at the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba.

“We now have 3 suspected cases under isolation in our containment facility in Yaba. One from France, one from England and one from China. Their samples have been taken and results are being expected,” he said.

THE WHISTLER had reported that an Italian national who worked in the country, had tested positive to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), according to the Ministry of Health

The SARs-like virus, which began in Wuhan, China, has killed more than 3,200 persons while infecting over 80,000 people in 84 countries.

The World Health Organization ( WHO) had urged nations of the world to take preventive measures in containng the menace and limiting its spread.
