Cultists Hack Teenager To Death In Osogbo

There was panic at the Olugona area of Osogbo as suspected cultists chasing a teenager identified as Olalekan Quadri, caught up with him and hacked him to death.

Members of Eye Confraternity led by one Afeez popularly known as Terror were said to have chased the 17-year-old Quadri to the spot where they ended his life on Monday

Residents of the area said Terror had been terrorising the area for some days now but they could not say what caused him to attack the victim.

One of them who spoke on condition of anonimity said that they saw that he and members of his gang chased Quadri and hacked him to death and hurriedly left the scene.

The source said, ” Terror is a known cultist and a very popular one for that. He has been terrorising our area for quite some days now.

” We saw that he was chasing Quadei on Monday and this created panic because we know that such activity could result in death. He caught up with the young boy and they attacked him with cutlasses and killed him right on the spot and fled the scene.”

The Police Public Relations Officer in Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, when contacted, confirmed the incident.

He said the police had begun investigation into the killing adding that the perpetrators would be arrested and be made to face justice.
