Doctors Who Declared Living Baby Dead Sacked
Two Indian doctors have been disengaged from a New Delhi private hospital for inaccurately declaring newly born twins dead while one of them was still alive.
The management of Max Super Specialty Hospital has constituted a panel to investigate Dr. A. P. Mehta and Dr. Vishal Gupta for any connivance in the matter.

Doctors Mehta and Gupta had declared dead the 22-week-old premature babies on November 30.
“Max super specialty hospital at Shalimar Bagh in Delhi has terminated the services of two doctors involved in the declaration of a 22-week-old premature baby as dead, while he was alive,” said an official the hospital.
“The hospital has also set up an inquiry panel into the matter, with two senior doctors from the Indian Medical Association investigating the matter,” said the official.
