Ecuador Envoy Partners Nigerian Journalists On Media Capacity Building

The Ecuador Ambassador to Nigeria, Leopoldo Rovayo Verdesoto, has expressed willingness to partner with the Young Journalists Forum (YJF) on capacity building for young media practitioners in the country.

Ambassador Verdesoto made this known while receiving Coordinator of the YCF, Comrade Chukwuma Nzeh in his Abuja office on Wednesday.

In a statement jointly signed by its coordinator and Secretary, Comrade Ene Okon, the YCF disclosed that Ambassador Verdesoto gave his word to commence a monthly youth dialogue with the YCF, beginning from January 27th, 2017.

“The youth dialogue will be a platform, that aims to strengthen healthy communications amongst youths professionals, by cross fertilising ideas to enhance national development, strength our diplomatic ties with the Government and people of Ecuador, exchange of local experiences for global peace,” the ambassador said.

“The Embassy will make available the Press Office monthly for the dialogue, and participate actively to make available the Ecuador experience so as to enrich the platform.”

The YCF has been involved in a number of notable crusades, including a sustained campaign against worst forms of Illegal migration which it commenced late last year.
