Gov Umahi’s Defection Excites Keyamo, Says ‘PDP Deceived South East For 16yrs’
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has expressed excitement at news of the defection of Governor Dave Umahi to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Ebonyi State governor was said to have officially dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the APC after weeks of speculation.

Umahi reportedly said that the South East geo-political zone had suffered injustice from the PDP over the years.
Reacting to the governor’s defection, Kayemo said the PDP did not deserve the loyalty it had received from the South East region.
The minister tweeted on Tuesday: “…the main opposition does not deserve the loyalty of the S/East having failed them in infrastructural development for 16 years. Every lie has an expiry date.”
