Govt Imposes 12hr Curfew After Gunmen Murdered 14 In Jos

The Plateau State Government has imposed a dusk to dawn curfew in Jos North and Jos South local governments.

The curfew follows the gruesome murder of 14 persons in their homes in Rukuba area of the state.

Youths of the community had reportedly protested the incident on the streets in the early hours of Friday.

According to them, the military did not quickly respond to the incident after an alarm was raised.

They mounted barricades preventing motorists and passers-by from accessing the road, but troops of the Operation Safe Haven moved into the area and cleared the barricade.
