Gunmen In Fresh Attacks Storm Niger Communities, Abduct Scores

Barely 24 hours after gunmen abducted students at Government Secondary School Kagara in Niger State, some Communities in Gurmana ward of Shiroro Local Government Area of the State have been reportedly invaded by gunmen.

The gunmen stormed the villages in their large numbers and attacked Sarkin Zama, Bakin Kogi (Lagbe), Siyiko, and other adjoining villages on Wednesday evening and abducted many of the people in the communities.

The operation which was said to have lasted several hours left some dead while others who sustained various degrees of gunshot injuries were rushed to various health facilities for medical attention.

It was gathered that scores of other residents of the communities were also abducted and taken to unknown destinations.
