Has God Called You To Defend Buhari Or The Poor? Omokri Questions Mbaka’s Integrity

Former media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has expressed serious doubts on Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka’s integrity as a man of God, following the latter’s recent comment on the state of the Nigerian economy.

Fr. Mbaka had said, Tuesday, that President Muhammadu Buhari should not be blamed for Nigeria’s economic woes, claiming that the situation would have been worse if former President Goodluck Jonathan were to be the current President of Nigeria.

“If Jonathan was the president today, the situation would have been worse,” Mbaka claimed.

But Omokri, in a swift move to defend his former boss, took Fr. Mbaka to the cleaners after he asked if the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry in Enugu was actually called by God to defend helpless Nigerians or a President who has over five aides at his disposal.

“The wife of an evangelist was beheaded-you kept quiet. Her suspected killers were acquitted-you kept quiet. However, today you have found your voice to defend President Muhammadu Buhari and condemn former President Goodluck Jonathan,” Omokri wrote.

“As a Reverend Father, were you called by God to speak for a man who has 5 media aides and a minister of information all speaking for him or were you called to speak for the poor and powerless children of God who face injustice with no one speaking for them?,” he queried.
