House Of Reps Dep Speaker, Chief Of Staff, Others Celebrate Governor Otti At 59

Abia State is pulsating with celebratory energy as Governor Alex Otti marks his 59th birthday today. From prominent dignitaries to ordinary citizens, a wave of good wishes and appreciation is sweeping across the state, reflecting the Governor’s impactful leadership in the state.

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Reps, Benjamin Okezie Kalu, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr. Caleb Ajagba and Provost of Abia State College of Education,Vincent Onwe, are among dignitaries who have commended the Governor on his birthday.

Painting a vivid picture of Governor Otti’s journey, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Kazie Uko said, “Governor Otti’s rise is a testament to his consistent hard work, discipline, and the grace of God. He excelled in the banking industry, transforming Diamond Bank from a struggling entity into the fifth most profitable bank in Nigeria within three years.”

He continued, “Many questioned his foray into politics, but his unwavering intervention has yielded remarkable results. Abia is witnessing a surge in infrastructural development, improved security, and a restored sense of pride among its people.”

Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Okezie Kalu, applauded Governor Otti’s achievements in the past six months. He highlighted the strong foundation laid for lasting legacies in governance and commended the Governor’s inclusive leadership style, evident in his willingness to collaborate with other leaders from the state.

“Abia has become a massive construction site under your passionate leadership,” Kalu remarked, adding that “I have full confidence that by the end of your tenure, the state will have undergone a remarkable infrastructural renaissance, restoring its lost glory and solidifying its position as a leader among Nigerian states.”

He pledge to support Governor Otti’s “all-inclusive approach” for the continued development of Abia.

Also, the National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Committee (NANS JCC) Abia State was not left out. Chairman of the group, Comrade Prince Jacob, expressed his appreciation for the Governor’s focus on education and its impact on Abia students.

“On behalf of the teeming Abia students across the various tertiary institutions in the state, I extend our heartfelt felicitations to His Excellency, Governor Alex Otti, on this momentous occasion of his 59th birthday.”

He said Governor Otti’s commitment to education has been a beacon of hope for students, stressing that the introduction of scholarships has eased the financial burden on many students.

Governor Otti’s political appointees, led by the Chief of Staff, Dr. Caleb Ajagba, surprised the Governor with a heartwarming birthday celebration at his country home followed by cutting of birthday cake.

They hailed the Governor as a source of inspiration and a leader who has made a tangible impact on the lives of Abians. The atmosphere crackled with joy and admiration as they recounted the positive changes witnessed under his leadership.

Transition Councillor, Micheal Ezeh from Umuahia North declared, “Governor Otti is indeed Chiọma Abia (Good god of Abia)! His achievements are remarkable. I propose his birthday be declared a public holiday in Abia State to commemorate his impact.”

Professor Onwe, Provost of Abia State College of Education (Technical) Arochukwu (ASCETA), said “Governor Otti has transformed Abia into a construction zone,” adding that”no past government achieved this! We are grateful and wish him a long life and prosperity.”

Mrs. Ngozi Iheanacho, a teacher, said, “Governor Otti has prioritized our welfare with improved salaries and timely payments. This has boosted our morale and enabled us to deliver quality education to our students.”

Businessmen and leaders were not left out. The Governor’s dedication to various sectors resonates with different groups. Comrade Chimuanya E Eze, founder of Odinma Ndi Abia Pro-group, praised his support for transporters, while Mr. Collins Uchendu, Chairman of St. Michael GSM market, expressed the community’s loyalty, highlighting the positive impact on their lives.

Mr. Emeka Okafor, a trader, said, “Governor Otti has brought positive changes to Abia. We see infrastructure development, improved security, and more opportunities for businesses like mine to thrive.”
