Kano Governor’s Wife Angry With Electoral Officers

Hafsat Ganduje, wife of the Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, let out some steam a few minutes before casting her vote.

Hajia Hafsat did not like the “clumsiness” of the female corpers serving as electoral officers at her husband’s polling unit, Ganduje in Dawaki Tofa LGA of the state.

One of the corpers had attended to young boy who voted before her. Perhaps out of anxiety that the governor and his wife were on the queue, she handled the ink pad sloppily and splashed ink on some ballot papers.

Seeing the way the corper was handling the process, Mrs Ganduje, who had watched quietly, voiced out her anger, “Why are you handling the ink like this? Why can’t you keep the ink this side so that you will not splash it on ballot papers? Look at what you are doing.”
