Kwankwaso, Shehu Sani React To Police Raid On Edwin Clark’s Home

Former governor of Kano state and presidential aspirant, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has reacted to the invasion of the Abuja residence of former Federal Commissioner for Information, Chief Edwin Clark by Operatives of the Nigeria Police.

 

Recall that the Police, on Tuesday, raided the home of the leader of Pan-Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF.

Although, the Police Inspector General, Ibrahim Idris clarified that the rain was unauthorized, the move has been heavily criticized by Nigerians.

Kwankwaso, via his twitter handle, said the raid is a sad episode in the recent catalogue of embarrassment under President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

”The unlawful invasion of the residence of elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark by men of the Nigerian Police is another sad episode in the recent catalogue of embarrassment witnessed under the current administration,” he said.

Similarly, Senator representing Kaduna central district in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, condemned the act, urging the Police to apologize to Clark.

”The raid on the house of Chief EK Clark is condemnable. The elder statesman should be treated with respect by security agencies knowing the implications of such an action.

“The Police should apologize to him,” he wrote on Twitter.
