‘You Make Merry In Kano, Neglect Dapchi’, Nigerians Lambast Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday led a host of dignitaries to attend the wedding Fatiha of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s daughter, Hajiya Fatima and her groom, Idris Ajimobi, in Kano.

The wedding Fatiha of Fatima and Idris Ajimobi, the son of Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State took place at the Kano Central Mosque on Saturday.

The ceremony comes less than 48 hours after Boko Haram insurgents killed three United Nations humanitarian workers in Rann, Borno State.

No fewer than eight Nigerian Security officials died in the attack.

It also comes less than two weeks after about 110 students of Government Girls Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe state, were abducted by the insurgents.

Recall that earlier in the year more than 100 people were killed by suspected Fulani Herdsmen in Benue and Taraba States.

Despite condemning the attacks, the President is yet to visit any of the affected states.

Following Buhari’s wedding partying, Nigerians have taken him to task for making out time to visit Kano and yet unable to visit other states affected by attacks.
