Nnamdi Kanu Looks Forward To Next Arraignment, Feels Strong– Lawyer

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Tuesday, expressed hope of ‘being vindicated’ ahead of his arraignment at a Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday. He also ‘thanked his faithful for being law-abiding’.

Barr Alloy Ejimakor, Kanu’s special counsel, disclosed this to THE WHISTLER in a chat on Tuesday. Ejimakor said Kanu and his team of lawyers had a fruitful discussion after their visit to where he is being detained at the custody of the Department of State Security, Abuja.

Quoting him, “I had a fruitful visitation today (Monday) with #Onyendu in the company of my colleagues, Barr Ejiofor and Barr Maxwell (Okpara).

“We went over his next outing in court on 10th November. He remains the strong man he is and looks forward to being vindicated. He greets his followers and supporters.”

Kanu had, prior to his last arraignment on October 21, 2021, called on his supporters not to intimidate his legal team.

According to him, “None of his lawyers should be harassed, threatened or accused by anybody claiming to be his supporter or follower, regardless of the person’s tie with him.

“That anyone engaged in such is working against him, and that he shall never forgive such person(s); and that the best thing anybody can do for him is to wholeheartedly support all his lawyers in their current efforts.”

Kanu is facing copious charges, including running a proscribed organisation and treason. More charges were also preferred against him in the amended list by the legal team of the federal government.
