Osinbajo Returns, To Precide Over FEC

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has returned to the country after visiting President Muhammadu Buhari in London Tuesday night.

The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Office of the Vice President, Laolu Akande, announced Osinbajo’s arrival in Abuja, the nation’s capital, early this morning.

According to Osinbajo’s Spokesman, the Acting President is expected to preside over the weekly Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting at 11am today.

The Acting President left the country last night for a meeting with his Principal, who has been on medical vacation in London, the United Kingdom.

In London, Osinbajo spent one hour at the Abuja House, where President has been staying since his arrival in the British capital on 8 May, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

Akande also tweeted that information from the closed door meeting will be shared in due time, after the Acting President failed to brief newsmen in London.


Today (Wednesday) makes it 66 days President Buhari has been away from the country on “medical follow-up”.
