Otti Set To Flag Off 41.5 Km Roads In Abia North

The Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, will on Wednesday, flag off the construction of the 30 kilometre Arochukwu–Ndiokereke–Ozuabam road, and 11.5 kilometre Nunya-Eluama-Isuikwuato road in the coming week.

Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting in Umuahia.

This is coming barely one month since the Governor flagged off the reconstruction of Umuahia-Uzuakoli-Akara road, and the Abiriba-Ohafia road, respectively.

The information boss informed that Otti decided to give attention to road infrastructure considering its importance in fast tracking economic development.

He said, “This is in keeping with the State government’s strategic road infrastructure development Initiative.

“Roads are serious enablers for a good business environment and the State Government will not relent in ensuring that roads in the state are put in very good motorable condition.”
