PSC Releases 50,000 Police Constables Recruitment List

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has released the list of successful applicants recruited into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables, marking the conclusion of the nationwide recruitment exercise for 50,000 personnel.

The commission said the recruitment exercise followed a multi-agency process involving the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, state Career and Counselling Departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee. It stated that the exercise was designed to ensure inclusiveness, equity and transparency in the selection process.

The PSC directed candidates who participated in the recently concluded written examination to check their recruitment status through the official recruitment portal.

According to the commission’s Head of Protocol and Public Relations, Torty Kalu, the recruitment portal will become accessible from Thursday, July 16, 2026.

Kalu said the commission would also notify successful candidates through the email addresses and telephone numbers they provided during the application process to ensure they receive timely information on the next stage of the recruitment.

“The successful candidates are expected to report to their designated Police Training Institutions on dates and times to be communicated in due course for medical examination and documentation.

“Candidates who fail to report within the stipulated time will be considered to have declined the offer. In addition, those who fail the medical examination that would be conducted by the Police Medical Team on resumption of training will be declared unfit and shall be required to leave the training.

“Candidates are to report with their training call-up slip, NIN slip, BVN slip, original and photocopies of their certificates and other required documents and items as would be listed in the recruitment portal,” Kalu said.

The Chairman of the Commission, retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police Hashimu Argungu, said the recruitment forms part of ongoing efforts to increase the operational strength of the Nigeria Police Force and enhance the country’s security capacity.

Argungu urged the successful applicants to approach their new responsibilities with professionalism and a strong sense of public duty.
