Reconciliation: Buni Inaugurates Senator Mbu Acting Cross River APC Chairman

A former senator, Matthew T. Mbu, has been inaugurated as the acting Chairman of the Cross River State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Chairman of the APC’s Caretaker/Extra Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, did the inauguration in Abuja on Tuesday.

His inauguration came after a meeting of the Caretaker Committee Secretary, John James Akpanudoedehe, and Cross River State APC stakeholders over the factional and long-standing political disputes in the state chapter.

After the meeting, Mbu was unanimously endorsed by the shareholders to assume as the acting chairman.

During the inauguration, Buni charged the chairman to carry all members, stakeholders and supporters of the party along.

He also admonished him be guided by the new, cordial and peaceful outlook of the state chapter in conducting his official affairs.

According to Buni, chairman, Mbu’s immediate task is to further unify party members in the state so as to strengthen the party’s chances for victory ahead of the forthcoming legislative bye-elections in the state.
 
The inauguration ceremony was witnessed by Akpanudoedehe and the Minister of State for Power, Goddy Jedy Agba.
