Reuben Abati, a former presidential spokesman, has been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The EFCC picked up Abati on Monday to answer questions about money he allegedly received from office of the former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki.
Mr. Abati was a spokesperson to ex-Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
The journalist is well known for being very outspoken about national issues in his columns.
Meanwhile, the anti-graft agency also arrested former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Alh. Bala Mohammed. Details on his arrest remained sketchy.
