Saraki At 54: Buhari Describes Senator As ‘Most Influential Politician’
President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, on the occasion of his 54th birthday anniversary.
Buhari, in a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu on Monday described the Senate president as “one of the most influential politicians of our time.”According to the statement, Saraki was not just an influential politician, but “has made tremendous impact on the country”.
President Buhari further said that Senator Saraki has successfully kept the memory of his late father alive by identifying with the grassroots in his home state.

He, however, called for a closer cooperation between the executive and the legislature to ensure the smooth implementation of government policies and programmes.
Meanwhile, in celebration of his birthday, Saraki granted employment to Kwara indigenes who made first class honors from different universities.
He said the move was part of measures to encourage young entrepreneurs to focus on Made in Nigeria goods and services.
“To celebrate my birthday, I hosted 72 Kwara indigenes that made first class honors from different universities,” he said.

“I decided to host these students to encourage and remind them that the best resource we have in Nigeria is not Oil, Gold or Tantalite but Human Capital, I assured them that I will continue to use my position to improve the human capital resource with any opportunity I find.
“Delighted that some of my friends decided to give automatic employment to some of the graduates, to start in January.
“I encourage others that might want to celebrate me to consider extending helping hand especially to young entrepreneurs who focus on Made In Nigeria goods and services.”
