Sister Of Slain Enugu Police Officer Pays Tribute To Deceased

Joy Onoja, a sister of one of the police officers killed by unknown gunmen at Iwollo Oghe Police Station, Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State on Tuesday, has paid glowing tributes to the late officer, whom she identified as Insp. Sunday Onoja.

Joy wrote on her facebook account, “Sunset at Dawn! It’s too early nah bros! What a painful exit! Of a Hero, a gallant and a vibrant young man.

“Giving all gratitude to God almighty, I announce the demise of my kid brother Inspector Sunday Fred Onoja, who was murdered in cold blood while on duty by unknown gunmen at his station in Enugu state alongside three other police officers.

“Brother we love and will miss you, but God knows why this happened, and we can’t question Him. Bros sleep on till we meet to part no more. Oh! God give us the grace to bear this loss.”

Meanwhile, the Enugu State government, weekend, replaced the Innoson patrol van stolen by the attackers that killed Insp Onoja and three other officers. The delivery of a new brand Innoson van was effected yesterday.
Also, the reconstruction of the damaged police buildings and other interventions as directed by Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi have commenced.

The governor, during on-the-spot-assessment of the station, ordered immediate reconstruction of damaged police buildings, replacement of Innoson patrol van stolen by the hoodlums and construction of barricades before the police post.
