Crystal Palace winger, Wilfried Zaha, who played his first competitive game for the Elephants after switching international allegiance from England, proved to be the liveliest on the pitch as he caused problem for the Togolese fullbacks on both wings.

Despite not having played competitive football for the last 6 months, Togo skipper, Emmanuel Adebayor had a paternal influence on the game, moving all over the field, trying to be involved in everything.

Their two wingers, Bebou and Dossevi, also looked really dangerous at times, however, no side was able to find the cutting edge.
