Obasanjo Rips Buhari On Int’l Media, ‘You’ve Corruption On Your Nose’

As if it weren’t enough to indict President Muhammadu Buhari of incompetence in his recent address, ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has taken to the international media to accuse the president of condoning corruption.

Obasanjo, in a fiery interview with Germany’s international broadcaster, Deutsche Welle, accused President Buhari of shielding alleged corrupt persons around him in the anti-corruption war of his administration.

The former president said there was no need for Buhari to continue with his anti-corruption fight when there are alleged skeletons in the cupboard of his government.

“I would make sure people in charge of anti-corruption institutions are people of integrity. There is no point in fighting corruption beyond you and you have corruption on your nose,” Obasanjo was quoted as saying in the explosive interview slated for release tomorrow FebFebru 13, 2018.

The former president told the international media of his proposed political movement: “It (Coalition for Nigeria) is not an old wine in a new bottle, but a new wine in a new bottle. I will not stand in the way of that movement if it decides to become a party. But in that case, I will withdraw.”
