Pinnick Appointed President Of AFCON

President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Amaju Pinnick, has been appointed president of African Cup of Nations, AFCON and he’s also been appointed to head the media committees of Confederations of African Football (CAF).

The announcement was made on Monday at the ongoing CAF Executive committee meeting in Manama, Bahrain.

This is the first meeting of the new CAF executives since Ahmad Ahmad was elected president on 16 March, 2017. Pinnick was also voted into the executive committee during the election.

Fifteen (15 points) are on the agenda, with the background outlining matters to be implemented in the next four years by the new Executive elected in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) and led by CAF President Ahmad.
