Thailand Sentences Drug Lord, Wife, Son To Life, Death

Laota Saenlee, a Thai drug lord, and his son Vijarn Saenlee, have been respectively sentenced to life imprisonment and death on Wednesday.

77-year-old Saenlee and his son, 41, were sentenced by a Thai Criminal Court for selling 20 kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine.

The Golden Triangle drug lord’s wife, Asama Saenlee, 67, equally got a life sentence for the crime.

Saenlee, who was arrested alongside for others in October 2016, had earlier been charged with illegal sales and possession of drugs, guns and bullets.

His son was sentenced to death for pleading not guilty to the charges filed against him.
