TCN Applauds NNPC For ‘Unprecedented’ Gas Supply To Power Plants

The Tansmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has applauded the Group Managing Director(GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC), Mele Kyari, for the efforts put in place by the management of the oil firm to resolve the issue of gas availability to thermal power plants in the country.

In a statement by the TCN spokesperson Ndidi Mbah, the power plants which were previously low on gas supply have started generating power to the grid.

Mbah added that the problem of gas supply would be addressed in hours after which all distribution companies and their customers would have been be fully supplied.

“TCN management led by MD/CEO, U.G Mohammed wishes to express its appreciation to the management of NNPC, Generation companies, Distribution Companies,TCN staff on their duty posts nationwide and other sector players for the efforts in sustaining the grid during this trying period,” the statement read.
