Trump Refuses To Mention Biden In Farewell Address, Promises To Fight On

Out-going United States President Donald Trump in his farewell address to the nation, avoided mentioning his successor’s name, in obvious continuation of the false narrative that he didn’t loose the Presidential election.

Trump told Americans that while serving the nation was an honor of his life, he still believed that the country has enormous potentials that is yet to be explored.

“Now as I prepare to hand power over to a new administration at noon on Wednesday, i want you to know that the movement we started is only just beginning, there is never been anything like it; the belief that a nation must serve its citizens will not dwindle but will only grow strong by the day.

“I go from this majestic place with a joyful, optimistic spirit and a supreme confidence that our country, our children, the best is yet to come.

“My administration was always loyal to you, we worked to build a country where every citizen could find a great job and support their wonderful families.

“Americans should take tremendous satisfaction in all that we have achieved together; it’s incredible,” he said on Tuesday.

He said that he was hopeful that his legacy would be remembered for good.

Trump also exonerated himself from the attack on Capitol Hill, saying that all Americans were displeased by the incident.

He further stated that his administration among other things, achieved national economic growth, peace in the Middle East, better deals with foreign countries and international organizations.

But he expressed concern at the suppression of opposing views, saying it would negatively affect the country.

His concerns may be due to his ban on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and others.

He also told the nation that no matter the problem, the people must not lose faith and trust.

On the covid-19 pandemic, which many believe may define his administration’s legacy, Trump admitted that it wrecked the country and the world, but added that his administration was able to see to the production of vaccines in 9 months.

His words:

“Now, as I leave the White House, I have been reflecting on the dangers that threaten the priceless inheritance we all share; as the world’s most powerful nation, America faces constant threats and challenges from abroad but the greatest danger we face is a loss of confidence in ourselves, a loss of confidence in our national greatness, a nation is only as strong as its spirit.

“We are only as dynamic as our pride, we are only as vibrant as the faith that beats in the hearts of our people.

“No nation can thrive, that loses faith in its own values, histories and heroes, for these are the very sources of our unity and vitality.

“What has always allowed America to prevail with triumph over the great challenges of the past has been an unyielding and unshamed conviction in the nobility of our country and its unique purpose and history, we must never lose this conviction.

“At the centre of this heritage is also a robust belief in free expression, free speech and open debate.

“Only if we forget who we are and how we got here, could we ever allow political censorship and blacklisting to take place in America; it’s not even thinkable.

“Shutting down free and open debate violates our core values and most enduring traditions; in America we don’t insist on absolute conformity or enforced rigid, orthodox and punitive speech codes; we just don’t do that.

“America is not a timid nation of tame souls who needs to be sheltered and protected from those with whom we disagree, that’s not who we are…it will never be who we are.”
