Violence broke out while the APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, was addressing the crowd who turned out for the presidential rally at MKO Abiola International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Monday.
The violence followed a clash between supporters of the All Progressives Congress and the Allied People’s Movement.
It was further gathered that the security operatives comprising men of Nigeria Police Force, Directorate of State Security, Nigerian Army and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence barred a lot of people from the main venue.
Prior to the crises three men suspected to be political thugs were arrested by security agents in charge of the ongoing rally for chasing away supporters of the APC Governorship candidate in the state, Dapo Abiodun, from their seats.
The thugs were reported to be armed with weapons such as clubs and charms.
