WAEC Urges Candidates To Use Its Online Resources Ahead Of Examination

The West African Examination Council (WAEC), Nigeria, has admonished candidates not to play around during the covid-19 lockdown period, but to study hard for the postponed examination.

WAEC Nigeria, disclosed this in a statement signed by Demianus Ojijeogu, its Head of Public Affairs.

The council had postponed its 2020 examination due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

But WAEC said that while candidates await a new timetable and reads ahead of time, they should also explore some resources on the WAEC website which would make them ready for the examination.

It said that candidates should log on to www.waeconline.org.ng/e-learning and check the ‘Chief Examiners’ Reports’ which provides reasons many candidates who sat in past examinations performed poorly.

It also said that the ‘Candidates Interactive Portal’ (www.waeckonnect.com) was an information sharing platform that allows the council to “effectively engage candidates before, during and after examinations.

“A new timetable will be announced once normalcy is restored; WAEC wishes you success in advance,” the statement read in part.
