But the ASUU chairman described the removal of Ogundipe and appointment of Soyombo as a failed coup.

The ASUU chairman said, “We don’t recognise Prof Soyombo as the vice chancellor.of UNILAG.

“Somebody has been illegally remove and we have said no to that illegality, how can we give the illegal surrogate support? No way.

“The ASUU Congress has spoken and nobody can change the decision of the Congress. The Congress said the removal of Prof Ogundipe is illegal and it cannot stand.”
